Platform Updates May '18

Every month, we would like to share with you a brief overview of the new changes, enhancements, and product launches from the last month.

 

Recently, GDPR compliance has been our top priority and we have been busy working on updating our processes and policies, as well as making the necessary enhancements to our products.  Below, we have put together some information to guide you through the changes of the new data privacy regulations, in hopes that we can all progress and benefit from the more transparent collaboration. GDPR Readiness: IAB Categories, Hyperlocal, and Notifications

(May 17, 2018)

To comply with the GDPR requirements, Adform is introducing several changes that will affect RTB line items and the user interface:

  • Some of the IAB categories for an RTB line item are treated as sensitive and are no longer accessible.
  • Hyperlocal targeting is changed.
  • User interface is appended with notification messages, when using potentially sensitive features such as Cross-Device, IP targeting or DMP segments accross all platforms.

New RTB Line Item Details Interface

Adform is introducing a more descriptive and self-explanatory RTB line item details interface which considerably improves your workflows. From a selection of environments and formats to useful bid landscape forecasts and new buying algorithms, you will create effective strategies in the blink of an eye.

Predefined Custom Templates Available in Template Library

(May 8, 2018)

To save you time, new predefined templates are added to the Template Library. These are the predefined templates you can choose from:

  • Standard Media Plan -  appropriate for all types of line items.
  • Extended Media Plan - appropriate for AG and RTB line items as it includes specific values.
  • Creative Specification - appropriate for AG and Direct line items.

Template Library Improvements

Additional fields are added to the Custom Template such as Digital Channel, AG Sites, Tech Fee, Net Media, and Net/Base (%).

HTML5 Studio: Custom Font Size in Text Component

(May 21, 2018)

The text component in HTML5 Studio (Builder Mode) was improved and now offers a greater flexibility – you can now enter a custom font size, in addition to selecting a pre-defined one.

Base Price and Net/Base Price Ratio in AG Line Items

(May 4, 2018)

Adform brings you more transparency. You are able see the discounts publishers give you and how much money that saves for a client. From now on, the non-editable Base Price and Net/Base (%) ratio fields will be displayed by default in Price Cascade in the Automated Guaranteed Line Items for all channels (digital and print) and accounts.

Publisher Edge

IAB Transparency and Consent Framework

(May 25, 2018)

In line with industry changes tied to the implementation of the GDPR, the Adform Consent Management Platform (CMP) is now available. Adform is providing a CMP to empower publishers who have identified consent as the appropriate legal basis for their online behavioral advertising activity. Adform’s CMP provides a reliable technology tool for the standardized collection of consent at a global level.

Net Winning Price from SSP Auction for HB Setups

(May 11, 2018)

You can receive Net winning price instead of Gross from the Adform SSP in Header Bidding auction. This improvement helps to use Adform SSP in more HB setups as the majority of SSPs connected to Prebid HB return "net" prices.

Ability to Modify Agency Commission on Change Request or AG Line Item

(May 4, 2018)

You now have an opportunity to negotiate price with agencies/advertisers on the line item level. With this release, both parties can initiate a price negotiation process (Agency Commission, Discounts, Rebates) on an AG Line Item level.

Email Sender Title for AG Print Publishers

(May 3, 2018)

Adform introduces the possibility to override a default email sender title for notifications sent from an Automated Guaranteed account. AG email notifications were displayed as sent from the [email protected] email address. You can change this default setting to the custom email sender title.

Audience Base

IAB Transparency and Consent Framework

(May 25, 2018)

In line with industry changes tied to the implementation of the GDPR, the new Adform Consent Management Platform (CMP) is now available. Adform Audience Base supports IAB Transparency and Consent Framework in the Pixel and AudienceTag.

 

New Account Settings

(May 3, 2018)

Adform introduces the new account settings for Audience Base. From now on, the Account settings will be a single source of truth for all account information. All settings are now available in one place, easy to view and manage.

Relative Date Range in Audience Builder

(May 10, 2018)

A relative date feature in Audience Builder was improved. You can select a date range – a number of days for the past or future time period. This improved functionality gives you the ability to collect IDs from tracking points with relative dates in the selected date ranges.

Destinations v2.1 Improvement

(May 10, 2018)

Destinations v2.1 introduces new scheduling options for export rules, statuses for export routes and rules, and a pausing function.

Integration with Rubicon

(May 24, 2018)

Adform introduces a new integration for data export – Rubicon. You can now set up routes and rules for data export to this new destination.

Updates to Come

Single Sign-On

Single sign-on feature allows users to access multiple business accounts using a single set of user credentials.
The client will be able to access "Advertiser Edge", "Publisher Edge", and "Audience Base" using a single user account.

 

Ability to change Media/Publisher and Product for draft AG Line Item

You have more flexibility to change draft AG line items attributes by changing Product or Media/Publisher.

 

Updated Billing Rules for Email Marketing Campaigns

Billing rules have been changed for Email type campaigns. If campaign type is Email, then billing rules are defined on the line item level.
