After an introductory grace period, we are moving towards a usage-based pricing model for Cross-device targeting and Frequency capping in Advertiser Edge. This pricing model comes into effect on October 1, 2017. With this update, you will be able to retarget people across all their connected devices and cap frequency on a user level. No Default Flash File When Creating In-Stream Pre-Roll Video Creatives

From this date forward, when you create an in-stream pre-roll video banner, an FLV file is no longer added by default. Instead, Adform created new device options for playback settings so you could add this file when needed.

This update ensures that your creatives are not rejected automatically by 3rd party systems, as an FLV file type is no longer accepted by some of them. Read more here.

Same changes have been implemented in the Publisher Edge, too.

Additional Video Options for Display & Mobile Line Items

A series of updates were implemented on programmatic line items.

Display and Mobile line items have been updated with new video display options – letter-boxing and video playback settings. These settings allow configuring video banner display on Display and Mobile line items instead of using a separate Video line item.

The upgrade of Display and Mobile line items was followed by deprecation of Video line item on September 20, 2017. All existing Video line items were converted to Display line items ensuring that the setup and delivery of these line items were not affected.

Eliminating separate line item types for different environments, Adform aims to consolidate programmatic line items and make workflows more effective.

Updated UI Terms & New Metric in Dashboard

Some terms all over the grids in Audience Base have been renamed to yield consistency in terminology throughout the platform. In addition, tooltips have been added to a number of the terms to make them easier to understand and to make working in the platform more efficient. These terminology changes affected Dashboard, Audiences, and Reports sections.

The dashboard was enriched with even more useful data by adding a new metric to the Summary board – IDs Total Update Requests. Read more about these changes here.

A new Destinations feature simplifies the process of exporting audiences to 3rd party systems. You can now configure and manage data exports directly in your Audience Base account by yourself. With this new feature you can:

  • Select one of the available export destination platforms - Adform presents an extensive list of 3rd party systems that can be linked to Audience Base.
  • Create and manage export rules that define which audiences are to be synchronized. Audiences can be exported together with their related properties, e.g. pricing.
  • View statistics related to export rules and exported audiences in clear and simple grids. Grid data can be sorted, filtered, and exported to CSV file.

Extended Compatibility of Report Dimensions

The compatibility of Key and Key Value dimensions has been extended in reports – they are now compatible with Revenue and Viewability metrics. Previously, these dimensions were compatible with only the most basic delivery metrics, such as impressions and clicks. Now you can gain more insight into your data and thus optimize advertising inventory better.

Updates to Come

Asynchronous Reporting Stats API for Advertiser Edge

An asynchronous workflow for Reporting Stats API is planned to be introduced. With this workflow in action, you will be able to receive larger chunks of data within one request – up to 100 000 rows instead of 3 000. The increase of page size will minimize the need for paging and higher quota limits. You will gain more data with less effort on your side.

Additional Aggregations and New Filtering Possibilities in Audience Base

Updates to the Audience Base will bring in new aggregations of data. You will be able to compare your audiences' data to categories and the whole Data Provider.

A new filter will be introduced, too. It will become possible to filter compared audiences by the number of IDs from the selected filter country.

If you are unsure of how to use or access any of these features, please do not hesitate to contact your local campaign manager who will guide you through and answer any questions you may have.
